Speaking at Global Internet Summit, Penang (Malaysia)
Recently, I was invited by Asia’s largest seminar organizer, “Success Resources” to speak at their event “Global Internet Summit” in Penang, Malaysia. It all happened quite fast but I did accept their invitation to the 3-day event (10th-12th April 2009).
And, I am so glad I did. It was a wonderful experience speaking at GIS. Contrary to what I had in mind, Penang turned out to be a beautiful place. I loved the city, it’s friendly people and the food is to die for. I was visiting alone but I made up my mind to visit again with my wife and daughter.
The topic of my presentation was “Viral List Building” - an area of Internet Marketing that I passionately research and follow. It’s a shame that not many people use the wonders of viral marketing to grow their lists by huge numbers on auto-pilot. I got some great feedback on my presentation and (I think) the attendees really liked my views and strategies
(That’s me on stage during my presentation. Yup, that’s the best one I have)

It was great meeting all the other speakers at the event - Edmund Loh, Vince Tan, Jaz Lai, Alvin Phang, Terence Tan, Benjamin Teo and Benjamin Marc Wee. Really nice people and highly qualified in their respective areas of expertise. We swapped ideas, brain stormed and of course, had a ton of fun.

I must say it was a very well organized event. The Success Resources team did a great job and made the entire experience a wonderful one for speakers as well as attendees. After the event, Richard Tan (founder of Success Resources) even took us out for a nice speakers’ dinner.

Overall, a wonderful experience - learnt, shared and enjoyed a whole lot. Will definitely go back and do it all over again anytime.
