This can be a goldmine for Affiliates
The Web 2.0 arena is developing very fast and I have been busy experimenting with some of these developments. I strongly believe that Web 2.0 sites, if used correctly, is a goldmine for Affiliate Marketers. I have used many of these sites in recent times to generate handsome commissions.
Over the last few days, I have been goofing around with one such Web 2.0 website. And I am amazed with its potential and what it has in store for Affilites. The results have been excellent.
I am talking about a new feature added to the popular Web 2.0 website, technorati.com. Technorati is essentially a blog search engine. But it has evolved into much more than that in recent times. The new feature they have added is called WTF (Where’s The Fire?)
Technorati WTF allows users to add a story and comment on it. You can also add links where required. This is nothing different from what many other sites have been doing. But what sets WTF apart (from an Internet Marketer’s point of view) is their high search rankings on Google.
So how can this be of any use to you? Here’s how - you can use Technorati WTF to write reviews on Internet Marketing products and include your affiliate links in those reviews. Make sure to use the name of the product in the URL, title and many times in the review itself.
Your target customer are those people who search for the name of the product on Google and other search engines. (Some good Internet Marketing products have got as many as 10,000 searches on their launch day).
If you create a well structured and optimized WTF, then there is a good chance that it will appear on the first page of Google results. This may take a few days to happen, but once it does - you will start generating good affiliate income. And all that for just 10 minutes of work.
And yes, Technorati WTF is completely free to use - just like the other Web 2.0 websites. They are still very new and not many people know about their existence. This is the perfect time to capitalize on it.
I have already floated some WTFs for different Internet Marketing products and the results have been excellent. Not all my WTFs have made it to the front page of Google results, but that will be too much to ask for. I have created around 12 WTFs till now - 4 of them have made it to the first page, 3 appear in the second page of Google and the others have not produced anything till now.
7 out of 12 has me pretty excited and I am working towards optimizing the WTFs to get better results. I will keep you updated if I find anything interesting. Right now, I suggest you head to http://technorati.com/wtf/ and create your WTFs without any delay.
Also, let me know what you think by posting your comments below.

Hi alok,
I can confirm everything you are saying as i use this method very successfully already. It is a very powerful way of getting to google and its also a very quick way of getting their too.I think the record for me getting a page indexed is less than 3 hours.
I have a WTF there now its no.1 of over 6,000,000 results, type in
“auto cash system” and thats me at no.1if you refresh the page and get rid of the paid sponsors.
Use this method wisely.

Hi Alok, Looks like a good way for you to get leads, page one on google is great if the key word is actually something a person would search for, very easy to get a #1 ranking on a keyword like crackerjacktoyinthebox but who would search for it.

Hi Art Bliss,
The keyword you have to target is the name of the Internet Marketing product (ebook/software/script). The idea is to feature on the first page of Google for searches on that product name. There are many searches on these keywords, and its the most targeted traffic you will ever see

Hi Alok,
Very good if it works, would be a lot easier than using Google where a recent keyword I used produced an answer of 15000000 pages on Google.

Yeah, it’s a lame blog but I really started it as an experiment for learning about Google PR and Social Bookmarking.
So far, I’ve learned that Technocrati sends visitors. I’m ramping up a few other projects and then once I feel like I’ve figured it out, then I’ll add them to Technocrati too.
In my opinion, the Social Bookmarking sites are a whole new ballgame!

Sounds very cool. I’ll have to play around with this. I’ve never really figured out yet how to get useful business from Technorati, etc, but I’m a designer not a marketer. I will try this for my new Order Buttons graphics set right now.
Thanks Alok, your articles are always informative and useful.
